Charming Hotel in Alsace, 4 star

In this spot used to be a village cafe some 150 years ago. Brightened up with geraniums in the summer, or adorned with winter finery during the Christmas markets, the Best Western Au Cheval Blanc hotel cultivates the Alsatian tradition of authentic welcome in a charming setting on the outskirts of Mulhouse in Baldersheim, a flower-filled village labeled 3 flowers. Still run in the same family spirit, the hotel is open all year round and especially during the end-of-year holidays to enjoy the magic of Christmas in Alsace. Over the past several decades, this property went through several transformations, from being a village cafe to a hotel in the 1980s which included a main building with 53 rooms, a restaurant and a Relaxation Area with its indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and hammam. In 1982, a second building with 30 rooms was added, with a meeting room and recently a fitness room. In 2022, a new Alsatian-style building including an events and meeting room, with a café-pastry shop, and new terraces was created. As always, this traditional creation was inspired by the local architectural heritage, with half-timbering and the use of solid sandstone for all the frames.
